$1.5 million settlement for motor vehicle accident in which an automobile lost control and mounted the sidewalk striking three pedestrians who were sisters (ages 48, 50 and 54). The oldest sister suffered injury to her right arm/shoulder with fracture of the right humerus requiring surgery with open reduction and internal fixation, as well as injury to her left knee with torn ligaments. The youngest sister suffered bilateral leg injuries with fracture of the right tibia requiring surgery with open reduction and internal fixation, and with left knee injury requiring multiligamentous reconstruction surgery. The middle sister suffered multiple bodily injuries with back pain. The settlement represented the full amount of the available primary and excess insurance coverage.

$1.95 million settlement for construction accident for 23-year old electrician who tripped and fell over metal studs that were scattered in a hallway on a construction site, creating a tripping hazard. He sustained injuries to both wrists with bilateral scapholunate ligament tears and carpal tunnel syndrome, and required left wrist surgery. He also sustained low back injury with radiculopathy requiring epidural steroid injections.

$450,000 settlement for construction accident for 56-year old electrician who stepped on debris while descending a ladder and twisted his left knee, with torn lateral and medial meniscus injuries requiring arthroscopic surgery.

$2.5 million settlement for municipal liability/motor vehicle accident for 54-year old motorist whose car was struck by a police car that was traveling in the wrong direction during the course of a pursuit and struck our client’s vehicle head-on. Our client sustained neck injury with C-5 fractures and left vertebral artery injury.

$1.715 million settlement for construction accident for 45-year old mechanic’s helper who fell from a 12-foot A-frame ladder that tipped and fell. $1.5 million settlement for premises liability for 43-year old store employee who tripped and fell on a staircase leading to the basement storage room in the store where she worked due to a lack of proper handrails. She sustained lumbar spinal injuries including herniated discs with multiple surgeries and installation of spinal cord stimulator.

$825,000 settlement for construction accident for 35-year old electrician who fell while working in a manlift that was not fully enclosed, and wrenched his shoulder when he grabbed onto the railing to prevent himself from falling out of the lift. As a result, he suffered a rotator cuff tear of the right shoulder which required surgery and aggravation of prior cervical (neck) injuries requiring surgery.

$700,000 settlement for construction accident for 36-year old electrician who injured his left shoulder when his ladder shifted and fell. He sustained left radial head fracture and SLAP [superior labrum] tear which required arthroscopic surgery.

$3.5 million settlement for construction accident for 52-year old electrician who was working on an A-frame ladder that shifted and fell. As a result, he suffered low back injury with disc herniations requiring discectomy and fusion surgery at L3-4 and L4-5.

$4.5 Million Settlement during trial for municipal liability/motor vehicle accident for 41-year old construction worker who was on his way to work on his motorcycle when he was struck by a municipal sanitation truck that made a left turn without yielding the right-of-way to our client, who was proceeding straight. Our client suffered severe crush injury to the chest and abdomen with bilateral lung collapse, multiple fractures of the thoracic spine, multiple rib fractures, fractures of the right shoulder, right hand and wrist requiring surgery, and left knee injury with torn meniscus requiring surgery

$800,000 Settlement for municipal liability/construction accident for 45-year old electrician who was laying out work for a municipal construction zone at a street intersection when a municipal street sweeper struck the large metal stake that was part of the layout line and propelled it into his ankle. Our client suffered open pilon fractures of the tibia and fibula of his right leg, requiring surgery with open reduction and internal fixation.

$1.23 Million Settlement for construction accident for 50-year old female apprentice electrician who tripped and fell in a hallway over a misplaced dolly and suffered injuries to her elbow, wrist and knee, with the knee injury resulting in consequential injury to her lower back; and she required surgery for her injuries.

$10 Million Settlement during trial for construction accident for 34-year old union tunnel worker (a/k/a “sandhog”) who was working on the Second Avenue tunnel project when he was injured. He was standing on the platform of a large steel structure known as a “crown form” when the platform suddenly collapsed, causing him to fall 15 to 20 feet to the concrete floor below. As a result, he suffered severe injuries including multiple facial and skull fractures, which required open reduction, internal fixation and grafting, as well as a fracture of the right wrist which required surgery, as well as psychiatric trauma and depression.

$1.2 Million Settlement for medical malpractice for 57-year old man where the defendants failed to timely diagnose and treat his prostate cancer, despite elevated PSA levels.

$550,000 Settlement for medical malpractice for 65-year old man for improper administration of lumbar epidural steroid injection which resulted in right foot drop.
